Presentation on effective strategies and tools for increasing your program’s visibility in the community

This two hour workshop will provide an overview of the process for planning and implementing media strategy.  The facilitators will present the role of your media plan as part of the organization’s larger organizational plan – which includes strategic planning, communication planning and technology planning. Three essential components of the strategy are the choice of WHO you want to reach,  WHAT you want them to know (message) and HOW you will want to reach your targeted

audience(s).

Presenters Bio
Jennifer McAllister is currently the Public Policy Field Organizer for MCAE (MA. Coalition for Adult Education). For six years she also served as a legislative aide to former state Senator Andrea F. Nuciforo, Jr from Pittsfield and she interned for Daniel Bosley, MA representative from North Adams. Franklin Soults worked for many years as both an ESOL teacher and a freelance journalist before becoming Communications Director at MIRA in April, 2009. He has also held full-time writing and editing positions at a newspaper and a magazine. Frank has a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago, and an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University
