Overview
This event is open to anyone wishing to get started using Microsoft Excel.
Details
MS Excel can be a tremendously useful application but has an interface that can be off-putting to the casual user. This training will introduce participants to navigation, data manipulation including calculations and functions, charts, and ways it could be used in class or in a program.

Learning objectives
  1. Understand basic technology associated with Excel
  2. Start the Excel program and open sample files on a diskette
  3. Perform the basic functionality of each example on the provided diskette, such as:
  • Resize columns and rows
  • Basic formatting: font & color
  • Simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Creating a simple budget
  • Creating a chart uding the chart wizard
