- Overview
- This participatory workshop explores effective ways to teach grammar in the ESOL classroom.
- Details
- This workshop explores effective grammar lesson plans – looking at the three necessary parts to a grammar lesson. We will examine exercises and activities that support the grammar lesson and make it interesting. We will look at sequencing and some helpful “rules”. Participants will also experience using materials that help students internalize the lesson. This is a hands-on, participatory workshop that welcomes innovative ideas from the participants. This training qualifies for PDPs if taken with other courses in this series. You must contact Michele Sedor (msedor@hcc.mass.edu or 413-552-2442) BEFORE you take the first workshop you plan to take of the series for more information and to be eligible. You must choose at least ten contact hours of workshops in order to get PDPs. Workshops that can be counted include: 1. Managing Your Multi-level ESOL Class: What you need to know and do (3 hours; November 2008) 2. Take the GRRR out of Grammar: Grammar Made Easy (5 hours; December 2008) 3.
