Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to:
Develop a comprehensive hiring process consistent with institutional policies;
Assist with the transition of new staff members by designing and implementing a systemic orientation process;
Support new and existing staff by development staff handbook materials;
Analyze how to promote high standards and maximize job performance through documented staff observations, evaluations, coaching, and counseling;
Identify staff that are not meeting expectations and implement documented improvement strategies that, if not met, would lead to termination;
Promote continuous staff and program improvement through integrated program improvement and staff development planning; and
Describe ways to create a collaborative, participatory work climate in which linguistic and cultural differences are valued and appreciated.
