- Review of the MA DOE, comprehensive system of funding and structuring ABE services
- Details
- This 3-hour review of the program design features of the MA ABE system is for both new and experienced directors. Components of the system to be discussed include the financial rates background, re-funding documents, and the SMARTT program plan module. Any relevant changes for FY09 will also be detailed during this presentation.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the changes for FY'09 ABE Program Design;
- Describe the purpose of each of the following related elements of a Program Plan and how each element can help the program to utilize the funding provided in the ABE Rates System: staff salary, staff salary analysis, personnel prototype and summary sheet.

- Presenters Bio
- Andree Duval is currently the Deputy Associate Superintendent for Educational services at the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department in Ludlow. Andree brings more than 15 years of ABE classroom and management experience to the training as an educational coordinator and past president of MCAE Jim Ayres is the executive director of the Center for New Americans in Northampton. Jim has presented a number of workshops throughout the state on program design and data analysis and currently serves as the co-director of the MA ABE Directors Council.
