An Interactive workshop, in two parts, on Worker Rights including Health and Safety Issues, presented by the UMass Labor Extension Program.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Name state and federal laws that govern work and workplace issues, including safety and health issues;
- Access additional information about these laws,including major provisions, scope and remedies offered;
- Identify which laws are the most relevant to the concerns of their students;
- Use and adapt the UMass Labor Extension Program's Workers' Rights Curriculum to teach classes on workers' rights to their ABE/ESOL students; and
- Identify challenges to using workplace issues and laws as classroom topics, and generate possible solutions.
