Overview
Sea, Salt, Sand and Scholars combine to make a fantastic educational opportunity! Mingle with nature, observe the beauty and diversity of the ocean and study related ecosystems. This day will provide a wondrous learning experience for all who attend. You will meet with experts in the field of ecology, science, math and sustainable energy. This experience will provide you with fresh approaches to teaching science and math. You can make science and math come alive for your students and generate excitement in your classroom.

Pat Harcourt, Michele Bahr
Presenters Bio
Pat Harcourt is a teacher at Waquoit Bay Research Reserve where she presents classes and field studies for students in grades 5 - 12 and professional development courses for teachers on estuaries, coastal ecosystems, water quality, climate change, and data analysis. Michele Bahr Michele Bahr is an experienced math and science teacher at ACCCESS. She participated in Teaching Investigating Adult Numeracy (TIAN) in 2006. Currently she is the Education and Public Outreach Coordinator for the MBL team of the NASA Astrobiology Institute.
