- Overview
- Most students participating in community based ABE and ESOL programs are working people, many of whom are unaware of the laws that govern the workplace. This interactive workshop is designed for Community-based ABE and ESOL teachers who are interested in addressing the very relevant topics of workers rights for their learners, but are unfamiliar with the laws. The facilitators are from the statewide University of Massachusetts Labor Extension Program, at UMASS Dartmouth and UMASS Lowell.. They have developed a ten module participatory course on workers rights, in English and Spanish. Participants will receive a copy of the full curriculum.
