Overview
This sharing, learning session is an oportunity for managers to learn from each other and experts and find new and better ways to deal with the challenges of Directing ABE programs in Massachusetts
Details
This training will be held at BCC in Building L in Conference Room 108 on the first floor. With the ever-increasing workload of ABE administrators, effective leadership and management will depend on a director’s ability to understand, prioritize, and organize his or her work requirements in ways that yield the highest return on time, that prevent needless stress and burn out, and that support high performance. In this 3 hour training, ABE administrators will consider four main topics: 1. Identifying performance expectations and stressor points 2. Reframing work requirements with sensible planning and organizational priorities in mind 3. Time management strategies to maximize effective use of work time and to avoid time wasting activities 4. Self-renewal strategies to support balanced leadership and management Three central questions guide this staff development opportunity: • How do you see and manage your role expectations as an ABE administrator? • What changes can you make so your work time will be more productive, less stressful, and more fun? • How can you balance work demands with self-renewal activities to avoid overwork and burn out
