The second session – Earth Science and Biochemistry The second session of this series brings us back down to our planet Earth. During the first half of the session, we will map locations using a coordinate plane, describe plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanic activity and other geological processes and use internet resources to access real-time data. The second half will focus on chemistry basics, microbial metabolism and the dynamic biogeochemical nature of Earth.
