Overview
This is a required DESE training. All programs need to have at least 2 staff members who have completed the SMARTT New User training. This workshop covers all aspects of entering and viewing data in the SMARTT system.
Details

This is a required 5 hour training and will cover all aspects of entering data into the SMARTT system.

Northeast SABES is located at 78-82 Amesbury St., in Lawrence. It is a one-way street and is most accessible off of Lowell St. After you turn onto Amesbury St. from Lowell St., it is the first entrance on your right. There is also a parking garage across the street. The training will take place downstairs in the very back of the room. ** If you don't already have your own SMARTT logon and password, please request access from the SMARTT logon screen as soon as possible. It can take up to two weeks to receive this and your access level must be approved by your Program Director with that request being emailed to Donna Cornellier at DESE. Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this training participants will be able to:

1. describe the purposes and uses of SMARTT for accountability and program management

2. identify SMARTT features and terminology, and to navigate through the various sections of SMARTT

3. perform basic data entry functions, such as adding students; adding and entering goals, assessments, and follow up; enrolling students in classes and entering attendance; exiting students from class and Site; adding data into the professional development module.

4. access the SMARTT3  User Manual on the web

5. obtain SMARTT technical assistance via the SMARTT email list(s) and the SABES Regional Techs

Prerequisites
Please obtain your own SMARTT logon and password BEFORE coming to the training. This could take a couple weeks, so please do as soon as possible. Go to the SMARTT logon screen and click on "Request Access". Email me for instructions. Your Program Director must approve your access level from DESE.
