Learning Objectives:
As a result of Session One Workshop, paricipants will:
- describe at least two fraction activities that make fractions accessible to many levels of students;
- identify at least two models for representing fractions and percents;
- use at least one model to picture operations involving fractions or fraction answers;
- explain four interpretations of fraction symbols (as a division problem; as a part-whole relationship within a measurement, a set, or an area; as a number; as a ratio)
