Overview
This Teacher Licensure information session is an opportunity to learn more about the voluntary Teacher License available to Massachusetts ABE and ESOL teachers.
Details
The four routes to licensure will be presented by Carey Reid, SABES’ Licensure Specialist, along with informational materials and forms. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions. The workshop is appropriate for practitioners new to the field as well as those with years of experience.

·         Explain the four routes to MA ABE teacher licensure and what is required of each route 

·         Identify which routes are available to them 

·         Access information, available assistance and forms needed for the license

Carey Reid
Presenters Bio
Carey Reid is the Licensure Specialist for the SABES System. In addition to providing information and technical support for ABE practitioners who are pursuing the ABE License in Massachusetts, Carey himself holds the ABE Teacher License - Professional Level. Carey works at SABES' Central Resource Center (CRC) at World Education in Boston, and works on various System initiatives (e.g. Curriculum and Assessment).
