Are you looking for practical strategies to help your ESOL learners improve their pronunciation in English? In this interactive workshop, you will explore different methods of teaching pronunciation including integrating segmentals (individual sounds) and suprasegmentals (stress, rhythm, intonation, etc.) into language learning activities. In addition, the workshop will address the underlying factors that affect pronunciation improvement. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and explore the relationship of pronunciation with listening, speaking, and writing.

- Describe some of the factors that influence adult ESOL learners’ pronunciation
- Identify and define several components of pronunciation
- Match physiological components of pronunciation with their labels

- Apply several activities of classroom practice
