- Overview
- October 2008 marks the debut of the redesigned naturalization test for most citizenship applicants. This workshop covers the “old” versus the “new” citizenship test in content, format, standards and procedures. Participants will get an overview of the naturalization process and common pitfalls and red flag issues for citizenship candidates. The presenter will share materials and strategies for incorporating civics test content and the use of interview tools into ESOL lessons, especially for the lower proficiency level student.

- Karen Sheridan has taught citizenship preparation classes for over 12 years. She is a citizenship coordinator at the Asian Center of Merrimack Valley, Inc. in Lawrence and has conducted citizenship workshops for SABES since 1999.
