Live from Washington! I-BEST (Integrated ABE and Skills Training) is an instruction model that builds ABE and/or ESOL education skills and college level workforce education skills together, challenging the traditional idea that such learning must take place sequentially. The premise of
I-BEST is to provide just the right level of ABE/ESL in just the right amount for students to succeed in college-level workforce education training programs. I-BEST also lays the groundwork so students can continue on in training or come back for additional training after they go to work. I-BEST is offered in all 34 of Washington s community and technical colleges.- When
