- Overview
- Discover Intensive Phonics for Yourself and Reading Horizons represent explicit, systematic phonics at its best! Presented through direct instruction, this logical, sequential technique employs a multi-sensory methodology based on Orton-Gillingham principles of instruction. The Discover Intensive Phonics technique utilizes a unique marking system, which provides students with word recognition strategies that significantly strengthen their visual ability to identify word patterns. Beginning with individual letter sounds and phonemic awareness skills, the course culminates with decoding skills that give students a systematic plan to analyze and pronounce unknown, multi-syllable words.
