Overview
The Program and Staff Development Process is an important mechanism to help ABE practitioners improve curriculum development, teaching strategies and methodologies, and program management with the ultimate goal of enhancing services to adult learners in your program. Come talk with other programs about staff development initiatives, training needs and ways to “re-energize” the hard working practitioners in your program.
Details
Meetings for 2008 are Fridays, September 26, October 24 and November 21. Meetings for 2009 are Fridays, February 27, March 27, April 17 and May 29. All meetings are from 10:00am–12:30pm and will be held in The Harrington Learning Ctr., Room 239L.

Learning objectives

As a result of attending this group participants will:

-    Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement process which integrates both Program and Staff Development

-    Share program development/staff development information, processes and resources

-    Provide information on regional needs to SABES and other programs for regional planning purposes

-    Develop strategies to determine and record the impact of staff development activities.
