Overview
The BEST Plus training is for practitioners who will be administering and scoring the BEST Plus oral proficiency assessment for ESOL learners. This hands-on training covers all aspects of how to administer and score the BEST Plus computer-adaptive oral interview. For staff at DOE-funded ESOL programs only.
Details
The complete training (2 sessions) includes: an overview of the development of the BEST Plus oral assessment, format and content of the test; instruction on how to administer and score the test; an explanation of the scoring rubric; practice scoring exercises using video-taped student samples; and an opportunity for hands on practice administering the test. Participants must register for both sessions. Participants may not be more than 10 minutes late and cannot leave early for whatever reason.
