Are you an experienced ABE Program Administrator who needs a review of the MA DOE rates system and program design? This session will also provide an update on changes for FY09.

Learning objectives

As a result of this training participants will:

  • understand the changes for FY09 ABE Program Design
  • understand the purpose of each of the following personnel related elements of a Program Plan and how each element can help the program to utilize the funding provided in the ABE Rates System:  staff salary, staff salary analysis, personnel prototype and summary sheet
  • understand all aspects of the program design process for refunding
Presenters
Larry Pollard
Presenters Bio
Director of Adult Basic Education and GED Chief Examiner for the Department of Corrections (DOC) since 1987. Prior to that Larry was an ABE teacher in the Department of Education for 12 years, and was a DOC Title 1 Director. He has a Master Degree in Adult Education. He has been a member of the ABE Directors' Council for 17 years and currently serves as co-chair. He has served on the GED Advisory Board since 1989.
