As a result of this workshop participants will be able to:
· apply research based strategies and techniques for helping learners write for various audiences
· develop student assessments to improve writing
· define strategies that encourage learners to bridge writing from personal writing to the academic writing arena
· identify strategies and techniques that will enhance necessary writing skills for the workplace

- Presenters Bio
- Diane Epstein – is the Director of Language Link, a trainer of SIOP (Strategies for working with the ESOL learner in your Pre-GED/GED classroom), SIOP trainer for K-12 systems in Central MA, and an adjunct instructor at Framingham State College. Diane has also taught ESOL at workplace sites, at Quinsigamond Community College and at Worcester State College.
