Overview
By exploring and analyzing some cultural characteristics unique to Haitian adult learners, the presenter and the participants of this workshop will work together to explain some communication and performance patterns of Haitian learners in an ESOL classroom. In addition, participants and presenter will also attempt to address the linguistic issues which affect the Haitian learners’ acquisition of English as a second language and which may be caused by no other than the Haitian cultural habitude as well as their particular language system.
