Overview
This is part one of a two-part training on the REEP Writing Assessment for non-native English speakers. This session focuses on test administration. In order to administer or score this test you must successfully complete both the administration and scoring trainings. (The REEP Scoring training is scheduled for the afternoon of this same day.) This training is open only to staff at programs funded by the MADESE (formerly DOE)/ACLS.

Learning objectives
After completing this training, participants will: 1) Understand the basics of standardized assessment. 2) Be able to accurately administer the REEP writing assessment. 3) Have a familiarity with the REEP Writing Rubric. 4) Understand the purpose for using the REEP Writing Assessment, including the Prompt and Warm-up.

Janet was the Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator for Northeast SABES and is now an ESOL teacher for Lawrence Public Schools at the Lawrence Adult Learning Center.
Prerequisites
Participants must take both the REEP Administration Training and the REEP Scoring Training.
