ABE Counselors’ Sharing Group Meeting III (Bos)

Description: At this meeting, we will examine multi-cultural issues in ABE programs. How can the ABE counselor facilitate cultural awareness among learners, teachers and other staff members? What are our own cultural biases? How do we solve misunderstandings that may occur due to a lack of understanding of cultural differences? How do we foster and maintain an atmosphere of tolerance, respect and understanding in our programs? Come and share your thoughts on these and other issues. What works for you? What doesn’t work? Share your strategies and learn what has worked for other counselors.
