Overview
For both beginners and intermediates. This workshop will show you how to become more efficient and confident in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (2 of the programs that comprise the program suite called Microsoft Office). Also learn about ways to use these applications in the classroom.

For both beginners and intermediates. This workshop will show you how to become more efficient and confident in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (2 of the programs that comprise the program suite called Microsoft Office). Also learn about ways to use these applications in the classroom. Learn to use MS Word by Learn how to: Make a simple flyer for an event or announcement Create a form letter that you can type once and send to many, all addressed to individual recipients. Adjust margins and create multiple columns. Insert images and Word Art. Also learn how to use MS Excel spreadsheets. Calculate complex or simple formulas with numbers in a snap. Make a monthly budget form or help students view numeric data graphically with graphs and charts. Learn all the basics to become an Office Wiz ! This workshop is part 2 of a 3 part course. Maybe taken as a stand alone workshop or as a series. Parts 1 and 3 cover Using Windows Computers and Integrating computers in Your Classroom. Part 3 maybe offered at a later date.

After attending this workshop you will be able to: 1. Master the Open and Save Dialog Box 2. Understand the various Office applications and their uses 3. Create an Excel spreadsheet that can calculate numeric data and sort text 4. Create a pie chart and bar graph 5. Be able to produce a lesson plan using this knowledge in your classroom.
