Description: Introduction To Computers for Teachers and other ABE Staff This hands-on session is an essential course for teachers and other people working with computers on the basics of using a PC personal computer. Also recommended for more experienced users who want to brush up on the basics. This workshop will allow you to take control of your computer and have fun doing it, rather then having it control you.

As a result of this workshop, you and other participants will be able to: 1. Identify the parts of a computer and how they affect your work; 2. Identify the difference between Operating System, Application Program and Data; 3. Apply basic computer skills to take control of your desktop environment and to organize it to your working style; 4. Teach your students computers with more confidence.
