- Overview
- By exploring and analyzing some cultural characteristics unique to Chinese adult learners, the presenter and the participants of this workshop will work together to explain some communication and performance patterns of the Chinese, and maybe other East Asians, in an ESOL classroom. And within the cultural framework, they will also attempt to address the linguistic issues which affect the Chinese learners’ acquisition of English as a second language and which may be caused by no other than the Chinese cultural habitude as well as their particular language system.
