ABE Counselors' Sharing Group Meeting (I) (Bos)

Description: At this meeting, our major topic will be mental health issues in the ABE classroom. How do we best serve learners with mental health issues? Some learners will disclose their problems: others may not. How do we help students who are taking medication that may affect their classroom behavior? How do we handle referrals, confidentiality, boundaries, etc.? Where do the responsibilities of the ABE counselor stop? Come and share your thoughts on these and other issues. What works for you? What doesn’t work? Share your strategies and learn what has worked for other counselors.
